Famine and evacuation in Kazakhstan (late 1920s-early 1930s)

On the basis of archival data, article examines situation Kazakh refugees who migrated from famine and Holodomor 1928-1933 within Kazakhstan to neighboring countries. As a result meat tax imposed by Soviet government on population, number livestock in sharply decreased, which led starvation death millions people, were deprived means subsistence (consisting mainly dairy products). In search way survive, hundreds thousands nomads, places inhabited for centuries, fell into trap fate, becoming refugees. The data presented once again confirm that our nation, victims 1929-1933, lost their national culture, social worsened. rich, mullahs andhunger – previously Mangistau peninsula, through Turkmenistan along coast Caspian Sea, fled punishment 1930s territory Irancalled “Mazandaran”. After years settlement, villages where Kazakhs mostly settlednearby cities province Gorgan, Bundar, Turkmen Gombad-i-Kaus, secluded local Turkmens called “Kazakh village”.
